Do I need my own instrument?
Absolutely. It is essential that you have your own instrument for lessons and for regular practice between lessons. Your progress depends on how much practice you put into your instrument.
How many lessons do I need to take?
Playing music is a life-long ability that can always be improved and expanded on. Your time learning music will depend on how far you want to take it. The stars are the limit!
Am I too old to start learning an instrument?
No one is too old to start playing an instrument! In fact, studies have shown that learning a new instrument during old age improves cognitive function and memory and reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s and other brain disorders.
Starting ages for each instrument are as follows:
Guitar – 6 years
Ukulele - 5 years
Violin – 6 years
Piano/Keyboard – 5 years
Drums – 6 years
